Hello! New here. I'm Piper, big fan of the movie, its characters and the actors. I love making icons from movies I enjoy and writing fanfiction (I post a ton at FanFiction.net, including a King Arthur story). I decided to unlurk and wanted to share some icons. I'm in the process of making some more but thought, why not just share a few now!? :)
Want, Take, Comment, Feel the Love.
Teaser: 1. ( We are the Knights who Say RUS!Collapse )
More soon if people would like ;)
I'm soooo new to Live Journal that I'm still trying to figure out my way around the communities. In the mean time, let me introduce myself, I'm Aislinn. I live in Canada, I'm over 40 and and mother of two grown children. I recently watched King Arthur and fell in lust all over the place with Gawain. Therefore I'd say my Favourite Aussie at this moment happens to be Joel Edgerton. There are others but he's the object of choice right now. I don't know the protocol for using avatars created by others but I hope I'm forgiven for using this one of Gawain at this time.

I've just joined so I thought I better say hi.
I love King Arthur, Tristan and Gawain (and they're respective actors).
I have the Director's Cut DVD and have watched it many times. (I was really cut up about them not including some of my fave moments of the theatrical version, eg. the "Like a babe's arm holding an apple" moment).
Anyways, I love making icons and am hoping to make a Tristan one so if anyone has a clear screencap of Tristans face it would be good if you could post.
And to make it legal:( Read more...Collapse )
The purpose of this post is to pimp my roleplaying game, I won't lie. I wasn't going
to, but after I got such a positive reaction to it in the comments to that other person's pimp post, I figured I might as well go for it.
Our game, The Fourth Day
, is written in third-person proper, so essentially it reads like fan fic. We love
watchers, so you're welcome to lurk or post to the OOC community
. It's pretty advanced as far as gameplay is concerned, but we are casting for a few characters, the list of which and qualifications you can find here
, if you're interested.
Thanks so much for allowing me to spam y'all. To make it legal, I offer copius pictures of Ioan Gruffudd, Joel Edgerton, Clive Owen and Hugh Dancy. [Dial-up beware, there are a lot
.]( Mmmm.Collapse )
This is my first attempt at a King Arthur
icon. It still needs lots of work, but here it is...
Historians agree that the classical 15th century tale of King Arthur and his Knights rose from a real hero who lived a thousand years earlier in a period often called the Dark Ages.
Recently discovered archeological evidence sheds light on his true identity.
By 300 AD, the Roman Empire extended from Arabia to Britain.
But they wanted more.
More land. More people's loyalty and subservient to Rome. But no people so important as the powerful Sarmatians to the east.
Thousands died in that field. And when the smoke cleared on the fourth day, the only Sarmatian soldiers left alive were members of the decimated but legendary cavalry.
The Romans, impressed by their bravery and horsemanship, spared their lives.
In exchange, these warriors were incorporated into the Roman military.
Better that they had died that day.
For the second part of the bargain they struck, indebted not only themselves...
... but also their children. And their children and so on, to serve the Roman Empire as Knights.
[i]And not just the boys who had proven their skill but the few girls who had demonstrated their way of fighting.</i>
Welcome to the land of Camelot. Where knights had fallen, affairs were done and lives were brutally taken.
